Note Burning Ceremony

Nathaniel Clark and his wife Erma moved in their new Habitat home in August 1997 with their children. Their original mortgage was for 30 years but 19 years later they receive documents stating "MORTGAGE PAID IN FULL" from Stanly County Habitat for Humanity. This is our 7th mortgage payoff, proving Habitat for Humanity is about empowering those individuals that are willing to make a difference in their own lives when the community gives a" hand up" not a "hand out". Habitat is not a quick fix program, but a life changing experience. Congratulations to the Clark Family for paying off their mortgage!!!
