6th Note Burning Ceremony

On June 23, 2015 Stanly County Habitat for Humanity celebrated the Richardson Family with a Note Burning Ceremony. The Richardson family dedicated their home in 1995. The ceremony was held at the First Lutheran Church in Albemarle. Friends and family attended the ceremony to support and congratulate the family on paying off their 20 year mortgage. Special guests at the ceremony were Virgil Hinson ( former board member) and Ava Sells (Construction/Support volunteer). The Richardson Family talked of how the Habitat program was a blessing and they learned so much from everyone who helped them made a dream become a reality. We are proud of the Richardson family and working hard to pay off their mortgage. A total of 6 mortgages have been paid off since our organization began in 1988. We look forward to celebrating more pay-offs in months to come.
